Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are frequently asked questions regarding authorisation and payment processes

for our Qurban organisation.

Q. Can I order qurban for aqiqah (newborn babies) or nadhr (a vow / oath)?

A. Yes alongside wajib qurban we also accept aqiqah, nadhr and any other nawafil

(voluntary) qurban you wish to donate. Please specify your qurban type on the order

form.

Q. I’m placing an order from outside Australia – will the payment amount

appear on my credit card statement in AUD (Australian dollars)?

A. This depends totally on the financial institution you are working with.

Q. Whilst trying to place an order I’m unsuccessful at the payment stage. What

could be the reason?

A. Please check that the card details you are entering are correct including expiry

date and CVC2 number and try again. If still unsuccessful, your credit card may be

blocked for internet purchases. If you are ordering from outside of Australia your

card may be blocked for international purchases. We advise that you check with your

financial institution.

Q. What is CVC2?

A. It is the last three digits of the number printed on the back of your credit card.

Q. What name will appear on my credit card statement?

A. ‘MEC Foundation’ will appear on your statement.

Q. I’m concerned about making purchases online. What security measures do

you have in place?

A. Our site is equipped with all of the necessary security features online merchants

are required to have.

Our connections are all encrypted with SSL technology therefore ordering from

our website is like using online banking and safe from a system point of view.

Your credit card details are not kept on file and cannot be seen even by our system

administrators. They are only securely shared with your financial institution during

the transaction stage.

However, all of the above said there is always a certain risk involved with online

activity. Users should exercise caution when online by running anti-virus software

and not disclose sensitive information on computers used by multiple persons such as

at internet cafes as a standard safety precaution.

Q. I have further questions. What should I do?

A. Please send an email to support@mecfoundation.org.au with your query.
